Are you ready for this?!

Oh my gosh.  I can't believe that I need to reach 90% in 3 days.  Crazy!

GOD IS INCREDIBLE.  I am in awe.  I hope you are, too.  In the past two days I've gotten some enormous financial support--He truly does answer prayer!  As I combine all of the funds I have been promised/received, I have 68% of my monthly support and 100% of my one-time support.  WOW.  Now, all the checks I get for my one-time support will go to compensate my monthly support.  Like I said, I'm in awe.  I have jumped 16% for my monthly support in two days.

If you get the chance, check out 2 Samuel 22.  I have been richly blessed by it.

“He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
    he drew me out of deep waters.
¹⁸ He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
    from my foes, who were too strong for me.
¹⁹ They confronted me in the day of my disaster,
    but the Lord was my support.
²⁰ He brought me out into a spacious place;
    he rescued me because he delighted in me."

God is Faithful

Though the fig tree does not bud
    and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
    and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
    and no cattle in the stalls,

Boy, that verse captures it.  Right now, things are looking pretty bleak:  I have 45% of my monthly support and 65% of my one-time support in. Still, God is sovereign throughout it all.  I am learning through this difficult time to praise Him for who He is and what He has done, instead of praising Him because He met the expectations I set.  I am praying right now for more people who will support me, primarily financially.  It has been such a fight, but I am praying that God will bring in the resources.  Will you help send me to reach the need in Inner-City Atlanta?  

Here's Progress!

Well, I'm close to 30% one week later.  Please pray that I find more people to talk with about this.  I had a dessert night last night that was so much fun and I would love to have more in the future.  If you think of people who I could talk with about this program, it would be a huge blessing for me.  Please, let me know! 

Also, I found out that my date to raise all of my support by is August 24.  Godwilling, I'll be able to be in Atlanta by September 1, which is a little over a month away.  However, I have so much to raise, so the task is pretty daunting. 

Summertime Support Update

Well, I finally got my blog up and running!  Right now I'm at 22%, but I've been praying hard and doing my part to make this happen.  My heart breaks for the need in Atlanta.  Thank you for your prayers and for your support.
